A young girl is present when her daddy comes back from war. The beginning of his PTSD.
My daddy came home from a place far away
He made me feel so happy inside
Mommy cried and touched his face
Then daddy cried and kissed us both.

He made me feel so happy inside
He looked into my eyes and asked
Did you miss me baby girl?
He told mommy that he would never go away again.

Mommy cried and touched his face.
She took his hand and walked us to the car
Daddy had some soldier clothes on
He put his backpack in the trunk of the car.

Daddy cried and kissed us all
This time he could not stop crying
Please stop crying daddy. I love you very much.
He said names of friends who couldn't come home.

Yes, daddy cried and kissed us both
He told mommy that he would never go away again.
He put his backpack in the trunk of the car.
He said names of friends who couldn't come home.
