Tomorrow May Never Come

The proverbial philosopher,
“They” always say

That one should live for today.
Don’t dwell in the past
And don’t worry about tomorrow.

For today is today
The future is yet to be
And today could be your last day.

The past is past
and one cannot change
what has happened before .

And tomorrow is yet to be
And perhaps tomorrow
May never come.

Hard to do as we get older
And our thoughts travel
Back in time.

Endlessly reliving the past
Wondering what could have been
If only I had done that or not that.

And dreading the future
Sensing that the end
Is coming for us all.

Write a poem about tomorrow.
