Practicing descriptions, not a story but a quick exercise.
I inhaled deeply, savoring the sweet, aromatic scent of delicate snow-white flowers above me. The ghost of a smile appeared on my lips, for it was not the harsh ringing of another phone call which broke the tranquil silence. Instead, a gentle breeze floated by, playing with nearby chimes that sang softly in response. Gentle sunlight streamed through the canopy in patches, glittering off designs on the chime’s metal surface. I slowed my pace up the winding stairs, watching as jade and emerald ferns rippled under the wind’s gentle touch while magenta roses fluttered off an evergreen bush.
