When I Write

writing a poem can be fun

Oh what fun to write a poem
Books and papers everywhere
Using a fountain pen to write
Giving it an artistic flair

A sure hit I cannot guarantee
You may not see it in a store
But the feeling I get is amazing
So that evens out the score

Yes, writing poems does my heart good
It is a discipline, and yet
I cannot think of any venture
Where my words I won't forget
