A Kid's Halloween

dressing up and going

Monsters, pirates, witches
are all walking about;
Looking for treats and
making some shout.

A haunted house! What fun!
A friendly ghost greets;
I wonder if I ask nicely,
Will I get some treats?

I walk to the door,
The ghost says, Boo!"
I shriek with delight -
Candy comes into view.

I leave the door smiling;
I am filled with such glee.
The ghost disappears inside -
He must have been set free.
