The Apple Assassin

better watch them apples!

Peter Crumm is his name
but he is better known
As the Apple Assassin -
His work, he has shown

It doesn't matter the kind
Red Delicious, or Gala;
He chops them up quickly
He's quite the rank fella.

No apple stands a chance
When the Assassin is around
When he is finished,
Only the "cores" are found.

His favorite apple is the Honey Crisp
So very sweet to bite
These he adds to a marvelous dish
Then he eats, and takes flight.

The police are stumped;
They'll never catch him -
This Apple Assassin
He's an escape artist's whim.

At any rate, write a story or poem that centers on an assassination. To mix it up, one of your genres must be comedy. Bonus points (possibly just imaginary ones) if your story includes apples.
