dreaming of home |
Dreaming of a White Christmas and being home with the family - Being so far apart is depressing A bitter kind of reality. I'm happy where I am, It's not so bad - Plenty of comfort and food to partake And giving away that which is too much; Eating it all's a mistake. Turkey, dressing, potatoes Green beans, cranberries and corn; Rolls and tea and apple/pumpkin pie A glutton's fantasy is born. But nostalgia rears its formidable head And a telephone call just doesn't do I wish I could pack up and leave, To go home, and enjoy the view.
