Loving You (First Love)

I've been writing bad poetry and decided to write a poem for my girlfriend.

Loving you can be hard
Not because you're difficult to love
But because it's so easy
It'd be like a breath of fresh air
If I was afraid of suffocation

Loving you reinvents the idea of love
And change terrifies me
I want to return the love you give
If only I could express myself like you
But I continue to do what I can as proof

Loving you makes me self-reflect
Because when I'm insecure
You reveal all you love about me
Yet you continue to doubt yourself
Despite all the perfections I've seen

Loving you may be hard
But I can prove my love to you
If you're willing to stick around
Even if I struggle to get there
You are more than worth it

Because loving you is easy
