just a dream
I open my eyes to a face and realize,
this is something that I used to know...
I reach to grasp it and unexpectedly the sun soaked canopy ghosts me up, and on, to the rest of the dream.
The slow motion. The brilliant laughter. The wine stumble. And the feeling that nothing else matters.
That I can't even remember the very first thoughts of this being, this human.
This face, so known... I can only imagine looking just as it does in this moment. This memory. This future? Endless. Infinite. Sun drenched and loved. My love.
Finally,
always.
