A 99 words long flash fiction about the sea. Part II: {item:#2289492}
I looked into the endless expanse of the sea.
The waves reared like stallions and their white crowns reminded me of whipped cream, the kind you only ate on birthdays. The salty smell rose to my nose and I tasted the salt on my tongue. What I normally found annoying, I now enjoyed.

I fished my pen out of my pocket and began to write the letter. This was what I had come here for, just to write this letter.

The one that announced my return. My return from this desert island to civilization.
The one that changed everything.
