Screams

Working through my thoughts

The silent screams
Echo off the cavern walls
The pleading for the pain to stop
To vanish into the void
The water seeping from the cuts all over
Draining into the blackness beyond
Darkness crashing in
Swallowing everything as if it were nothing
The silent screams
Become so loud
It’s deafening
Lost in the dark
With nothing but fear
Piercing the skin
Turning into anger
Into pain
The screams never ending
A cycle starting anew
