This is my first Shakespearean sonnet. I've waited over a decade to try it. It was fun. |
| I'm not making this harder for myself Though time is showing me its very ways I can make a move and then get to wealth In the end I win when I spend my days The truth is that I went for thirty-eight No cheating even, or blasphemous night I've got a million books and songs to rate And even now, I look to check the light I never thought that I would live this long I slept each night with awe and wonder in As long as I stay true, never do wrong I'll exit life without this mortal sin No one cares what happens to the spoiled fox My attention blackens with each loud knock |
