Lahaina and West Maui in utter chaos - may God bless them with much help - a poem. |
| A vibrant place in chaos, ruin; Lahaina gone, a town in ashes; Lives destroyed, a blessing strewn. Fighting flames with potent splashes! The victims of those raging blazes Include those angels’ souls in heaven - The families’ hearts in dismal dazes - Again rejoin the Highest One… The people left behind so much. Fled rushing fires, nick of time; Tons were lost, sweet pets, a touch Of prayerful Heaven assists that climb! Cherished, loved, a place so kind - Committed surely, endless task - Trials, decay - please, straits, unwind - A horror, gloom, in which we bask… Glowing village, filled with scenes - People, beaches, foods, and shops; The aid that this profoundly gleans Rescues children, moms, and pops… |
