Not even in secret can our love be
Written in stone, our love mustn't be
For you to shine, I will fade

Why do you chase, knowing I will run
I know I must see your beauty glow
Not even In secret can our love be

Eternities have gone; our love not shone
Always know the glimpse of you I live to see
For you to shine, I will fade

Following your light in hopes you’ll see
It gives my world reason for to be
In secret, can we allow our love to be

You always chase, knowing I must run
I will run to permit you to have fun
I will fade for you to shine

The energy from this chase I love
Never will I catch; that would mean the end
