With his niece.

Who was playing horseshoe
Outside with her boyfriend
Who was a bad influence on her.

But he could not budge
Yet watching the news unfold
Filled with rage.

He went outside
To tell his niece
The boyfriend had to go.

She cried

“My boyfriend left me
He just told me
He prefers guys,”

Joe smiled,
The crisis was over
The boyfriend was gone.

They continued to play
The game
As the sunset
In their suburban paradise.
