I know, I’ll stand alone
From the crowd
Because I walked away
From something long-held
And believed.

How can I explain the emptiness
At realization
That we are solely
Responsible for our own lives?

There are no such things
As miracles
Only coincidences, chances,
And purposes.

We must be perceptive and keen
In forging a path
And finding meaning
In the every day.

Waiting until we pass into the
Void of nothing and everything.
