Our society.

Outside the world is hateful, spiteful
a wasteland
of unforgiving space.
Scorched earth
marred by violence
by the sacrificial practice
of letting humans die
without cause or reason.
Doomsday.
Hands ready and restless
pull the trigger.
Release
Explosion
Bloodshed, screaming
but this is freedom
Cries for change
are lost in the noise of
God given rights.
Huddled masses.
Eyes closed, so it goes.
Thoughts.
Prayers.
