Poem: From floundering through life to living life |
I had lied too long in the ocean's wake, watching as grains of sand slipped through my fingers While I, in vain, groped for shore, Then, One night as the full moon cast its potent shimmer across the water, shifting tides and changing courses, Its energy, as well, moved me. I ride now instead on the crest of each wave, Sometimes treading water to stay the course, Sometimes floating gently to reach the shore, But always ... always in the current of life. |
