A Superhero Dragon |
Westlia the anthro dragon flew over the city of Avalon at night. She found it by accident back when she traveled across realms. The city was located on a small island, mostly autonomous and only relying on outside connections via shipping when absolutely necessary. Skyscrapers dominated the central portion of the island, rising into the sky like steel needles. Surrounding the downtown area were businesses and surrounding them were suburban homes where the typical family would reside. There was an eastern port for commercial fishing boats and trading vessels that came for the city's famous seaweed silk. In return the ships would supply the city with a few essentials that could not be gotten on the island itself. This was mostly electronics, textiles, and spices that could not be made or grown on the island. a district to the south end of the island was dedicated to storage warehouses where the dragon happened to be patrolling at the moment. Suddenly she heard trouble below. Her draconic sight & hearing never failed her. She swooped down & landed atop the warehouse. It was dark, except for the light provided by a full moon. The warehouse was dingy and old. It smelled of rust and old paint with unprocessed wool underlining the smell. She peeked through the skylight and saw 4 men below. The tone of their voices was suspicious so she listened to the conversation for a bit. Oh horrors! They were planning on robbing a bank before trashing a pizza joint! No one gets away with messing with pizza on her watch! She smashed through the skylight & glided down. There were shouts of "Oh no! It's The Derg!" (patent pending). Guns were fired but the bullets bounced off her scales. She used her flame breath to melt the guns and her tail to sweep them off their feet. She found some cord in the back of the warehouse and used it to tie them up. Lastly, she gave her loudest roar to alert the police. Sirens blared coming closer and closer. Three police cars with the third occupied by the commissioner screeched to a halt in front of the warehouse. Spotlights lit up the entrance and two officers rammed the door. Shouts were made as the cops searched the warehouse, immediately finding the tied up men and the bank plans on the table. Satisfied, Westlia flew out from the shadows where she had hidden neaby to make sure her work was done. The commissioner saw the fading silhouette of the dragon. He saluted saying, "What would we do without her?"
