Regarding gun violence
Republicans advise us
To get over it.

Because they refuse
To do anything
For fear of angering
The NRA nuts,

The gun ghosts
Hold a convention.

Then they descend
In Washington
Thousands of dead souls
The gun ghosts.

Demonstrating in front
Of the Capitol.

We will not let you
“get over it”
Your prayers are useless
For we are dead.

Shot dead by guns
Which do kill.

We demand action
We demand satisfaction
Tell that to the NRA.

No one is safe
No one deserves to be told

By old cynical politicians
saying “Just Get over it!”

we will not “get over it”
We are now vengeful ghosts
We will not rest
and will continue to haunt you

Until you do something
To end this pandemic
Of gun violence
