A Love Eternal

Like the flickering flame upon the wick of a candle,
It provides comforting light within the surrounding darkness.
As fear attempts to consume me, I dare not tremble,
For it is a love that shall always keep my heart safe.

While I slumber during the night, I may get cold,
However, I dare not worry, for it calmly warms me.
Life may be filled with obstacles impossible to overcome,
Yet I embrace it tightly, for it strengthens my soul.

Flowing peacefully like the waters of a tranquil stream,
It washed me white as snow, for I was stained with sin.
Destined to spend my life in the tortuous lake of fire,
His love rescued me the day he was nailed to the cross.

A gift that is forever & deeply flowing within my veins,
His love which will never fade away, for it is a love eternal.
