What if children from Earth made first contact?

What if: First contact between aliens and humans did not come from an envoy of adult human diplomats but of five children who, under extraordinary circumstances, each found themselves one of five overlooked alien worlds.

What if: An unannounced welcome dance on the human's vessel hull by sentient bees was misinterpreted as a swarm attack and the five children were launched away from the ship in escape pods.

What if: After the children's misadventures, the Galactic council make reforms that change the balance of power. The five Earth children become diplomats for the overlooked worlds and Earth with their single parents going with them in hopes of smooth talks.

What if: The five children shared their stories of accidental first contact with each other and their parents.

What if: The only danger, the only enemy was the children’s own fears and assumptions about the alien worlds seen only through the movies, news, etc. they had grown up with on Earth.
