This is an introduction, or bio.

Hello. What to say here. As you can see, I created this profile in 2006. I was 21. I'm now 40.

In high school, I wrote poetry as an outlet. As a result, when a poem was found by my high school guidance counselor, I got practically forced into the Creative Writing class, and slapping deadlines, rules, restrictions, expectations and pending judgement on a very private writer whom didn't even share her very personal writing pieces with anyone, and treated them much like a diary, didn't really do my writing any favors.

I finished the class's requirements, a small book of poetry including one short story. Being at the time in a traumatic situation that no one knew about, the writing was intensely dark and misunderstood, and not received well. I was told I was a "good writer but the content was too dark to publish."

I pretty much quit writing. My inner critic was born, with titanium fangs and the grip of a vice.

In 2012, I finished my GED, scoring in the top 1% nationally. In 2016, I obtained a Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate with a Summa Cum Laude 4.0 GPA.

Regardless of YOUR beliefs, I have spent decades feeling a low grade "you're wasting a talent" push. Gentle but firm, more of a small nudge with a nonnegotiable stance. In my opinion, it's God's opinion, which I have so far done an admirable job at dodging, denying, avoiding, and pretending not to notice.

Now 40, living in an unincorporated community with a population of 5,200, a stay at home mother in the middle of quiet nowhere, my last excuse was "my father-in-law's dog destroyed my laptop.'

SOMEONE apparently recruited my husband, who got a Chromebook for classes he is now taking, which he only uses in the morning, and it is now being wielded as the final failing of my last resistance.

SOOO...

Here I am. Sitting on a couch in the woods staring at a screen, head hung and mind blank, with a sigh of defeat and eyes narrowed toward "forward."

The boring stuff.

Mother of 3 boys, ages 20, 14, and 2.5.

Married, currently.

Siberian Husky mom.

PS5 gamer, avid reader, poker player (aka the best game ever known to mankind).

Reclusive avoidant ex writer....

Feel free to contact me. If I'm online, my Messenger is open. Email is fine. Comments or questions about my writing or my life are fine.

Feel free to request a review from me, or an editing request, or ask for an opinion about anything you'd like. IF you are all good with the review being the great, the good, the meh, the bad and the downright flammable, brutally honest, nit-picky, unfiltered honesty, spelling and grammar policed, and uncut.

Questions, comments, thoughts, reviews, input, ideas, suggestions, reactions, opinions, feelings, criticisms, brutal honesty,nit-pickiness, and spelling and grammar policing are all welcome regarding my portfolio, as long as they are HONEST, for better or worse. The only way you're going to offend me is by being fake for the sake of being acceptable and socially palatable. Be real, the facade is a bore and an insult. If you love something and have no complaints, that's fine, but I value depth, intelligence, honesty, and all-sided transparency.

Otherwise, I'm an open book, and almost no subject is taboo.
