Appreciation of a Simple Moment in Time Remarkably quiet waters where waves usually roll and crash on the sunset side of Maui. Golden hour pales as the sun burns purple, high skittering cirrus bleed into reds: all reflected below almost perfectly. A splash caught in the corner of my eye redirects focus. Silhouetted tail against rainbowed water. A hush--even the people on shore are silent. Then, after an inhale, an explosion. The massive humpback rockets in full breech into a sea of magenta sky. Prompt/Week # 18 Serendipity noun the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
