"In the Stillness of Heart" Moon's full light swoons on the farmer's pond. Reeds and cattails bend and sway to evening's cricket tunes. Stars kiss the night and wink promises on the water. Somewhere nearby is the crackling sound of campfire, and a slight scent of wood smoke drifting on the early autumn breeze. The hoot of an owl in the distance punctuated precious memories that had surfaced from the depths of stored treasures. Discovering a nearby fallen log, the lonely poet, surrounded by dragonflies, then sat down at the water's edge to pen Spirit's agape message received. And so, by high moonlight, profound thoughts were scripted. Love isn't only kissing you Love is knowing you Love isn't only missing you Love is finding you Time waiting in the stillness of heart produces possibilities. line count 25 |
