An acrostic for Spring

Melting snow soaks into ground.
April waits, then showers fall.
Daffodils will soon abound.
Narcissus by the old stone wall.
Easter lilies, crocuses.
Spring beauties all about the place.
Sunny weather focuses
On Columbine and Queen Anne's Lace.
Frosty snow piles? Almost gone.
March winds howl about the yard.
April warmth perks up the lawn.
Raking old leaves? Much too hard.
Cool mornings warm to toasty days.
