A poem in Sevenling form (described following the poem)

He loved animals slightly more than humans,
and he wondered why lightning scared him so much,
and how it must feel to grow old.

He hated spinach and sore throats,
and he disliked the neighborhood bully,
and, for some reason, the color orange.

But he grew up, and he changed his mind about a lot of things.

Sevenling
> 7 lines made up of 2 tercets followed by a single line.
> Metered at the discretion of the poet.
> Unrhymed.
> Composed with 3 complimentary images in the 1st tercet & 3 parallel images in the 2nd tercet.
> The final line is a juxtaposed summary of the 2 parallels, a sort of "punchline".
