Eight line poem

IDIOMS

• JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON
• TASTE OF YOUR OWN MEDICINE,

“Open wide,” my mum would say,
“It’s Castor Oil time of day.”
There was no escape, nowhere to hide,
No Bandwagon to hitch me a ride

I know when I’m beat, so I threw in the towel.
My mother said, “it’s good for your bowel.”
So I closed my eyes and bit the bullet,
And felt the oil slide down my gullet.
