Poem that uses the flower as an extended metaphor for encouragement of self growth. |
| Bloom like the blossom Like a flower when it's first planted The sight is not pleasant It's just seeds Not knowing Of its progress Whether it will succeed or fail Day by day it's water And given sunshine It stands and wait- "You'll soon grow," The planter says Each day passes by Nothing happens When will it be? And just before it loses hope... There a little petal appears How beautiful How magical Though- Little it is This is just beginning And so like the blossom There you stand Stuck in this messy situation "You'll never make it you'll never make it" You tell yourself Though more power more authority You obtain Imagine this blossom No authority at all Given not Can be crushed By giant footsteps Can be pulled out By little children or infants But yet- The blossom has greater faith To still hope For the very best Then how about you Who in charge of your life Can change the vision of your destination? Drown it Feel it Keep it Grow it And bloom like the blossom! |
