When you have seen truth, stand watch for others still to see.

The watchman does not sojourn in city houses
He does not loiter the street with the crowds
The watchman sits on the wall,
Above the melee with untamed winds
He sits watching what others do not see.
The watchman has his back turned to the city
Eyes endlessly seeking dangers from without.

The morning comes, then the night and darkness
Danger is already in the city, the storm has arrived
The battle is in the streets; there is no peace
City walls are broken, all resistance gone
The enemy is within the walls, invaders in plain sight
Be sober be vigilant, he prowls for prey
Seek, deceive and destroy, his commands

This city has a secret, shrouded in mystery
Foundations sunk deep, the hidden wells of wisdom
This city knows its own, has a Mighty Defender
Enemies scatter the streets, awaiting a demise
A voice, A consuming fire, like many waters
Then they were no more, ashes in the wind
The night comes, and then the morning and light

Atop the broken walls, the watchman sits
He knows about the enemy without, waiting
When the time comes, on a dark cloud
The Defender rides, a whirlwind of judgement
With sudden destruction, enemies are conquered
Fear and Death, hurled to their destruction
Then Love came, A Light illuminating every man.
