Price Of Beauty

         

The truth of beauty stands as this,

         

In every way that matters.

         

From warm embrace to tender kiss

         

And a honeyed word which flatters.

         

While choice and preference play their part

         

In that which you desire,

         

Only you will know your heart.

         

And what will stoke its fire.

         

So do not let yourself be swayed,

         

Or humbled by a standard,

         

Of beauty that the world has made

         

And to which some have pandered.

         

For beauty's found in many things

         

Despite what some may claim.

         

If not for what uniqueness brings,

         

All beauty is the same.

         

So, should the world choose to allow

         

Such a cold and narrow view,

         

Would beauty truly matter now,

         

If what it cost... was you?
