A poem about fairies.

You believe in them
When you're little,
But you never catch 'em,
playing their fiddle.

You're told they twinkle
In the night,
And make a tinkle,
As they shine bright.

They apparently fly
And have dream jobs.
Teeth fairies try
Collecting the teeth of every Rob.

You're told they prance,
and know every song.
But they're shy in their dance,
And hate to join our throng.

"They're careful little creatures,"
Your parents say,
"With magical sleepers,
And don't come to play."

They tell of the wings,
The magic in them,
And now here's the thing,
You don't believe in the gem

Of your once-beloved fairies,
As if their twinkle faded away.
So now you carry,
A face of dismay.
