A Man and a Mouse stroll through the woods on a moonlit night in June, to a Gathering

Marty Mouse climbed into the pocket of Mr. Manning, ready for adventure.
On the way, they had to cross the Old Bridge with only moon glow for light.
Oliver Owl was also enjoying the full Strawberry Moon, perched on a
Nearby tree branch. It was unusual for people to visit the woods at night.

Gently and silently, the great bird glided down from his high perch to a
Lower branch to get a better view of Marty and Mr. Manning as they turned
Onto a dirt path that lead through the Old Cemetery to the Stand Stones
Where the Old Ones used to gather together to share wisdom in secret.

When the man and the mouse were walking, they smelled the wonderful scent of
Honey Suckle and wildflowers, mixed in with the Lilac and Roses that grew wild all
Over this part of the wood. Curiously, the Owl watched them walking, calling out

Whooo-whooo so that wind caught it and carried it far and wide. Marty
Heard the Owls call and shuddered a little. He ducked down into the safety
Of Mr. Mannings pocket. Fortunately, Oliver Owl didn’t want to make him a meal.

What Oliver wanted was simply to say hi, welcome, and ask “why are you
Here on this fine evening,” but neither Marty or Mr. Manning spoke
Owl, so all they heard was the charming notes that rode the wind.

Although they answered back with their own Whoo-whoo,
The Owl smiled and whooed right back

Sometime soon after that, they had strolled down the path, and through
The cemetery, and found themselves at a great gathering of people, circled
Around the Standing Stones. All eyes gazed up at the strawberry moon high in the
Night sky, complimented by thousands of twinkling stars. They were singing and
Dancing and laughing together like the Old Ones used too. Then, suddenly,
It got quiet, very, very quiet as everyone listened to the wolves who joined in.
Never before had most of them heard such beautiful music, in such a perfectly
Grand arena. Oliver Owl, who had been following them, was mesmerized.

Some folks lit a great bonfire and other people passed around drinks and
Trays of snacks, while everyone enjoyed the companionship of like-minded
Odd-fellows. There was the usual gossip and giggles, and serious talk, but
Never about heavy or problematic things though. This was for fun, not
Everyday chit chat and common complaints. Everything here was extraordinary!
