YaVont is their Leader again. Some Bovicians disagree with what he has been doing.

“Just because I use Earth terms like ‘Revolution’ doesn’t mean this Short Story is about Earth in any way, shape, or form. This Short Story does involve Humans, and the similarities between Earth and Bovic are similar, but that is just a coincidence,” says SpaceFaction as he reads what he has written on his laptop.

“Besides, terms like ‘Revolution’ aren’t only an Earth term. A lot of planets use this term or one similar to it. Bovic is one of these planets. The translation of this term isn’t the same as the term here on Earth, but it’s close enough to be the same word,” thinks SpaceFaction as he listens to what he has written on his laptop aloud.

YaVont’s Bovic

A Short Story

A line of male adults, female adults, and Young Ones Outsiders are being forced to walk into a rundown building that is only about half there by a line of uniformed Enforcers with hand weapons pointing at them. Some of these Outsiders are fighting back, but the Enforcers are still in control there.

These Enforcers are pushing, shoving, and using their hands to hit these Outsiders to keep them walking toward this old building. They are mainly doing this with these males, but sometimes the females and Young Ones are feeling the effects of these Enforcers.

“This is another group of Outsiders who only came here to live,” says an Interviewer trying to get closer to these Outsiders. “I have been trying to talk to these Outsiders, but the Enforcers are stopping me from doing it.”

“YaVont has demanded that all the Outsiders living here are to leave, no matter what it takes to do this.” Continues this Interviewer. “From what I have seen, these Enforcers have been doing what YaVont has been telling them to do. I don’t think anyone has been seriously hurt, but there have been a lot of these Outsiders these Enforcers have hurt.”

DaVen looks at their Image Monitor as he walks into their living room. “I’m not surprised YaVont is doing this. I told you he would. After all, he started doing this the last time he was your Leader ten years ago.”

“What do you mean by ‘my Leader?’ PoAl asks DaVen as DaVen sits in the seat next to him. “He’s also your Leader.”

“No, he’s not,” answers DaVen. “I didn’t select him, and I don’t want him to be our Leader again. It was bad enough that he was our Leader for five years, ten years ago. He’s doing the same thing that he did back then.”

PoAl looks at DaVen. “I didn’t select him either, and I also disagree with what he has been doing or what he is doing now, but he’s still our Leader.”

“YaVont has always been about the Upper-Wealthy. He is only interested in making himself and the rest of the Upper-Wealthy wealthier. The Poor, Disabled, and Lower-Wealthy are a threat to that wealth. That’s why he has been doing what he has been doing and what he will continue to do.”

“I’m standing in front of this Food Establishment talking to Bovicians about the amount of food they can get now that YaVont has raised all the amount of food, clothing, etc.,” says the same Interviewer who tried to talk to the Outsiders a few weeks ago. “As you can see, there aren’t too many Bovicians using this Food Establishment right now.”

This Interviewer turns toward the Transports in front of this Food Establishment. “There are usually a lot more Transports here. It’s usually almost full if it isn’t full this time of day.”

“As you can see, there aren’t too many Transports in front of the other six Establishments in this group of Establishments.” This Interviewer says that after he turns to look at the rest of the Transports that are there.

Just then, a male adult, a female adult, and three Young Ones come out of this Food Establishment. They aren’t carrying too much food with them. This Interviewer walks up to them. “Can I ask you a few questions? It doesn’t look like you have too much food there. Is that going to be enough for you to live on?”

“No, it’s not, but what else can we do?” The male adult answered. “We need to eat, don’t we?”

PoAl and DaVen enter their residence with some food. They don’t have too much food either. After they enter their Food Preparation Room, they start putting their food away. “I told you this was going to happen when YaVont became your Leader again.”

“Would you quit saying that?” PoAl says while they continue putting their food away. “You haven’t stopped saying that since YaVont raised the amount of food a few days ago.”

“That’s not all I have been saying,” says DaVen. “I have been saying something like this even since he started going after our current Leader five years ago.”

PoAl and DaVen finish putting their food away and go to sit down in their seats in their living room. “I have also been saying similar things since then.”

“You have also been supporting him a lot during his first time as your Leader,” says DaVen without looking at PoAl. “I know you aren’t a follower of YaVont like CyDra is, but you are still a supporter. At least you used to be a supporter like CyDra used to be a follower.”

Another small Land Mass sends a Death Missile at another small Land Mass. This Missile hits a large place surrounded by a tall wall with different colored uniformed Enforcers. An explosion happens a few seconds later, and the Missile almost destroys this place.

A few seconds later, red and blue lights started flashing all around the office of YaVont, with small dots that changed color after every flash. YaVont started yelling. “Turn that off, now.”

YaVont pushes a button on his desk he has been sitting behind. An image of the explosion on a large Image Monitor shows him what has happened to this place. “How many Bovicians from this Land Mass have been killed?”

“It doesn’t matter how many have been killed. The fact is, they have been killed because of my Trade Restrictions. Contact my World Enforcers. I want that Land Mass destroyed, and I mean completely.”

“We can’t do that,” says YaVont’s Assistant behind the desk beside the large Image Monitor. “I know that is what you want to do, but you can’t do that.”

YaVont looks at his Assistant, angrier than he has been. “I can do whatever I want to do; I’m YaVont.”

“This Land Mass is so high in Credit problems that we may never get out of it,” says YaVont from behind his desk in his office. “The only way we may get out of these problems is to cut back on some help that isn’t needed among the Bovicians who live here.”

After YaVont pushes his button again, a list appears on his large Image Monitor that is now a Data Monitor. Sitting in rows of seats in front of YaVont swivel around in a large circle, circling them are about a hundred Bovicians. “This a list of the help that will not be needed anymore.”

Several Bovicians stand up, asking questions after the circle places these Bovicians in front of YaVont again. YaVont points to one of them. “According to this list, only the Poor, Disabled, and Lower-Wealthy will be affected by this help ending for them. Why aren’t the Upper-Wealthy affected by this help ending?”

“The Upper-Wealthy doesn’t need this help,” answered YaVont. “That’s why this list doesn’t include us.”

Another Bovician stands up to ask a question. “Is that the only reason why the Upper-Wealth isn’t on this list?”

#

“Did you see that?” WilLina asked. She turned to face the other Bovicians in a large meeting room they were all standing in. “YaVont has done it again. He has taken away all the help we need to survive. It’s his way of getting rid of us once and for all.”

“That is why I have asked all of you to meet me here,” continues WilLina. “We need to do something before we are all forced to leave here one way or another.”

WilLina starts walking around this group of Bovicians. These Bovicians keep their eyes on her everywhere she goes. “I don’t know how we are going to do it, but something must be done.”

“I know what you are going to say.” WilLina stops walking. “How can we stop YaVont, his Followers, and his Enforcers from doing this? Especially when most of his Followers are just like us.”

“I’m not the only one who feels like this.” WilLina starts walking again. “There are about a thousand others who feel like me, and each one of them is talking with a group of Bovicians just like me.”

#

YaVont keeps smiling as he watches what is happening on his large Image Monitor. “It’s looking good so far. Most of the Poor, Disable, and Lower-Wealthy are feeling the effects of the help they are no longer getting.”

“Especially the Poor and disabled,” continued YaVont. “Most of the Lower-Wealthy are Workers. Some of them are affected by the lack of help, but they are Workers. They will be able to continue to work.”

“We need these Workers,” says YaVont’s Assistant. “That’s why so many of our Leadership Leaders have been against this help reduction. They have been afraid the Lower-Wealthy would be affected by this lack of help.”

YaVont pushes the button on his desk. The Image Monitor changes to a Data Monitor. This Data Monitor is showing the list of all the help that is no longer available. Underneath each title in the list, YaVont starts looking at the number of Bovicians affected by each title.

These numbers keep going up. “Right now, we may need the Lower-Wealthy to stay alive and to get richer, but we don’t need the Poor or Disabled. By the way these numbers are rising, it won’t be too long before the Poor and the Disabled won’t be our problem anymore.

#

WilLina slowly looks around at the much longer meeting room than the last one she has been in. The number of other Bovicians is ten times more than before. After she gets done with this looking, she goes up to the front of this group. She clears her throat loudly to calm everyone down there. “Let’s get this meeting started.”

“Almost everyone is here,” says WilLina loud enough for everyone to hear her. “I’ll talk to the other Bovicians when we get there.”

“Has everyone looked at their plans for what is about to happen?” WilLina asks. “Does anyone have any questions about what they are supposed to do?”

Everyone starts talking to themselves and each other, but no one steps forward with any questions. “That’s good to hear. Once the other Bovicians get here, we will start our Revolution against YaVont.”

Within the next few hours, the other Bovician got there. None of them have any questions for WilLina, either. “The revolution starts now,” says WilLina. A few minutes later, everyone in there leaves through one of six different entrances. Everyone except for nineteen Bovicians. One of these Bovicians is WilLina.

#

YaVont smiles while he watches what these Bovicians are trying to do on his large Image Monitor. They are trying to kill any Follower or Enforcer who is trying to kill them. So far, the Followers and Enforcers are killing more of the Revolutionaries than these Revolutionaries are killing.

These Revolutionaries aren’t just killing Followers and Enforcers. They are also trying to get to YaVont. Some of these Bovicians have been trying to get to him but have failed. One after another, they are all killed by a Follower or an Enforcer.

A lot of these Bovicians have seen these killings and have reacted to them. Some have tried to kill the Follower or Enforcer, and some are reluctant to continue with this Revolution. Most of them do continue, but they are reluctant to do it, and it gets them all killed.

“I told you we wouldn’t have any problems with these Bovicians,” says YaVont. “It won’t be too much longer before this Revolution is over.”

WilLina walks up to stand next to YaVont. “I told you this would work against these Bovicians. After what happened here today, no one else will try to kill you.”
