Just a poem

Luck


Intangible, but

it's everywhere

Unfair, unjust

Yet always there


Ruthless and blind

Killer of dreams

Twisted in mind

Worse than it seems


A sign, a star, or

A rabbit's foot

Letters and numbers

And how they're put


Hymns and omens

And a chicken leg

Prayers' belief in

Gods they beg


Chances of getting

Run by a truck

Inside my home

Is what I call luck.
