There are no coincidences,
Life likes to play little games called “Twists of Fate”
Where we're given the tests first and bombarded with lessons after the fact.
An open book test I somehow kept failing again and again.
Then came that day where I couldn't keep fighting a battle that never fought back for me with valor.
Shrapnel debris scattered precariously,
The gashes and lashings I endured left me deflated.
I waved a tattered and trampled white flag after he rose his massive black banner,
I accepted defeat and left with as much dignity as I could muster.
Blast radiuses deep enough to be graves,
I almost crawled in and let the dust settle and bury me.
No battles won on either side and having lost the war,
I soon found out what all of these hardships were leading me towards.
