A poem in Sparrowet form (described following the poem).

My eyes are crossed. My nerves are shot.
Imagination? Gone to pot.
All hope for satisfaction's lost.
Sometimes I'm clever, sometimes not.
I tapped my brain, but at what cost?
My nerves are shot. My eyes are crossed.



Sparrowlet form:
> 6 lines (or multiples of).
> 8 syllables per line.
> Often written in iambic tetrameter (da DA da Da da DA da DA.)
> Line 1 & line 6 of each stanza are each written in 2 hemistichs (stand-alone segments).
> Line 1's segments are inverted & then repeated as a refrain in line 6.
> Rhyme scheme BbabaA.
