The Missing Link

Know what you think, and you’ll meld a missing link.

Knowledge from school is not everything,
Giant though the college textbooks are,
Expensive as the tuition is,
Slow as the salaries are to rise.
Exposition only to the later chapters,
Sweet summaries lay out a purpose,
Elucidating a principle on which,
However, a 300-page methodology
Yet will be based.
Document anything missing,
Gaps or omissions in the margins -
Someday you must fill your pages
Solely from your mind, I think.
