A risk taking investor is shaken by current events.

In the Ring of Fire, in Ontario, it has become fashionable to drill for diamonds, rare metals, and gold, those lovely big investments available if you try your hand at risk.

No sooner than I have my morning coffee, I am falling asleep these days, my life is so boring, so I would try anything to wake up, even boring itself - boring deep drill holes that is.

They say that a plate under Canada is active now, a tectonic plate they thought was cold and still for some twelve thousand years.

My balance sheet is finally drawing me out of my personal recession, being on paper rich and in the grocery store poor, the whole thing tied up for a few more months.

My heart starts thudding when I hear about the erupting volcanoes in Russia, the massive earthquake, the little tsunami in Crescent City, California. I think I might melt with relief at all the build up - the thought of what could have happened, and then the reality that it was all, more or less, okay.
