I finally decided to bite the bullet and start my book. This is my introduction thus far

Introduction v.4

Lizzie walked over to the car parked in the driveway. A V8 with 455 horses under the hood and 165 mph of raw speed. Lizzie slid into the soft leather seat of the little red Camaro and started the engine. She slowly turned her head and took in the sight of her bags stuffed into the backseat. There wasn't an inch of space left. A few suitcases and two duffel bags of clothes mostly. Lizzie had also put some small mementos from her daughters in a cardboard box. The trunk was just as full as the backseat. Her heart stuttered with fear, but she could also feel the excitement sparking in the air. Lizzie's thoughts were all over the place. Am I really doing this? Can I do this? Ninety long days without her kids would be the hardest thing she had ever done. It would turn out to be the most important one too.
Lizzie's mind wandered back to last week. She had flown down to Florida with her oldest daughter and spent the week at Grace and Thomas's house. It was a typical week with her best friends, lots of joking and laughter. They took the truck down to the mudhole and played around. Lizzie took her daughter to the beach and went to Orlando to visit another old friend. But she could see in all their faces an underlying look of concern when they talked. She pretended not to notice, but she did. The day before she left Thomas said, "Lizzie, why don't you come stay here and sober up for a couple of weeks?" He said it with a laugh.
But Lizzie could hear the concern in his voice. Lizzie smiled and replied with a flippant "Oh yeah sure. I'll run home, grab my clothes and be right back."
Lizzie gave her head a little shake, then put the car in gear. She had a long drive ahead of her and it was time to get started. The little town in Florida that she was headed to was 1300 miles away. She had said all of her goodbyes last night. It was now or never. She glanced at the rear-view mirror and with her girls' voices in her head and tears in her eyes pulled out of the driveway.
