Dedicated to my father with dementia

You made me laugh
When I was blue
You made me smile
The man I once knew

You taught me things
As I grew
I learned a lot
From the man I once knew

Now you are lost
Sadly, it's true
But I can still remember
The man I once knew

Oh the memories I have
More than a few
Make me laugh out loud
At the man I once knew

He is still there
Just beyond my view
I will meet again
The man I once knew
