Pangea continues to drift apart

A Brief History of Earth,
Chemical and Physical
Oceanic, Seismological,
Watery, like stone,
Placed on your bedside table
In the middle of the night.
It will distract you
From the present that troubles you
The silent streets broken by sirens,
While the continents drift on.
