poem for my boyfriend.

I LOVE YOU
I cannot express enough how much I have given to you, and you would not believe the proportion of the actions I would do to prove it to you. Though my words may seem shallow and almost meaningless, I will do the unthinkable to make you trust my words.
I will compose the most charming songs, pouring the words inside my heart that I am unable to state out loud normally, not due to shame, but because I fear I might scare you away with the intensity of my feelings for you, and a sweet melody coming out of my mouth is the only way I can pacify the intensity of my mind.
Even knowing our love is considered forbidden, I will still risk every single bit of my reputation just to give you a soft kiss on the cheek. We know no one can discover our love, we have the knowledge that no one will understand us, yet every day we risk being discovered just to show how much we mean to each other.
With all my effort, I bring into existence the best drawings I can merely for your entertainment, because I know you love the way I draw, I know you love watching me draw and you love every single art piece I make. If it brings you joy, I am going to do it no matter what it takes.
You are all I can think about every day, everything reminds me of you, and that shows just how much positive impact you had in my life. My love for you is gigantic and always growing, if it was possible to somehow physically measure and see the amount of love I have for you, it would go way beyond the observable universe.
Two people loving each other is harmless, yet society still wants to make our love problematic. I often hate being seen as merely a woman, my gender is more complex than that, but if it will make the others see our relationship as “normal” and don’t go after you just for being with me, I will endure it. I know how it feels to be harassed because you are different, and I do not wish that someone I think so dearly of to go through it.
You see me as myself, and I love you for that.
You aren’t ashamed of showing your love for me, and I love you for that.
You treat me right, and I love you for that.
It’s us two against the world.
I love you.
