A drabble (exactly 100 words) about changing attitudes? |
| Some people are stuck in a rut. I'm a nurse and my wife is a doctor. But that confuses some people. Out of uniform, we look like your average male/female couple. But when people learn that one of us is a doctor without knowing which one, they almost always make the wrong assumption. I know you can't erase several hundred years of stereotype overnight. But the women's liberation movement had (and still has, I hope) a major impact on many male attitudes. I thought humanity had been making progress over the last few decades. Maybe I was wrong about that. |
