A Drabble (exactly 100 words) about a hopeless optimist. |
| As the saying goes, you can't win if you don't play. So Robert always plays. And he always loses. But he keeps trying because, as the saying goes ...... Sometimes a fee is required, but Robert always thinks "this time I'll win big." And he gets a little poorer each time. There's a gray zone between being a hopeless optimist and a wretched fool, and Robert falls somewhere in that zone. Maybe there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but one must reach that end to find it. So, who knows. Maybe next time, Robert will win. |
