An autobiographical poem about being a trans man.

Day after day, I sit in my prison
Cramped and tight, all darkness, no light
Blood and bones build the walls of my prison
My chains are flesh and teeth, pearly white

Night after night, I sit in my prison
I'm free and roaming, yet my chains pull tight
Skin and hair build the walls of my prison
My chains are lips and hair, pink and bright

Year after year, I sit in my prison
When will I escape, when will I fight
Safety and security build the walls of my prison
My chains are my comfort, my freedom is strife
