Somethings i could remember from high school |
| 1. Are trees art? Something within you agrees they are. Something else in you only cares about what hoodie you're wearing today. Where you sit determines who you are. So you maybe scoff at the tree. Art needs humanity, you think. Art needs you. It's too early to know what you really could do. You can do everything and you have nothing to prove. You plop around and hope to never bump into a boy. You weigh 10kg less than you did yesterday. It is fall. The trees have art knitted onto them, the teacher talks about it a bunch. You step on dead leaves to hear the crunch. Your friends have an inside joke that you missed the birth of. It has something to do with your art teacher's sibling. They laugh at something you might not have laughed at. The smaller building has two rooms you can enter. It is always too cold or too warm. Old piping. The music room in front, the room for the photocopier next to it. Everything, yellowish. The old t-shirts that you skim through and buy without much thought are briefly worn as pajamas. You draw a squiggly line on a piece of paper. Just from that, the teacher is impressed. you wonder how he could possibly know anything about you from a line. you have terrible handwriting and are occasionally at the mercy of your teachers. you feel incomplete and avoid peoples eyes. You are too cold and you carry too much self doubt. You sometimes wear a black dress shirt and tight black pants with rips in the knees. It makes you feel good about yourself. 2. It's too dull to try to remember everything. |
