Dragons? Yes, dragons! They hatch from eggs. Those eggs are the size of ostrich eggs, but much more colorful appearing to have a metallic sheen some are even iridescent. while the color of the egg can be linked to the color of the dragonette inside, they are not fool proof. There a recorded instances of silvery eggs hatching dragons with a reddish or blue color.

While all dragons are capable of flight, they do not always have wings. Asian dragons, for example, look like enormous serpents with spiked ridges running the length of their bodies, head to tail.

The tails of most dragons are used to stabilize their flight and are used for defense as well as offense.
Not all dragons breathe fire, some breathe poisonous gases, or ice.

If a dragon egg is found by a human of pure heart, they will bond with that dragon and provoke immediate hatching. If the human fails to feed the dragon withing minutes, the bond will be broken, and the young dragon will search for a new bond mate.

These bondings are for life and lengthen the life of the human partner. If either die, so does the other, in most cases, although there are recorded incidents where the human will make a second bond within 48 hours.

Dragons mature every quickly reaching adult size within 2 years, with adequate feeding.

While dragons can fly within minutes of hatching, they are not large enough to take a rider until 6-8 months.

Dragons are not named by others. When they are ready to make their name known, usually within a few days of their bonding, they will mind speak their bond mate. While they are capable of his mind speaking upon hatching they need to absorb the humans' language first. This usually takes hours to days, depending on the human talking to their dragon. Whet the dragon hears he/she will make the neural connections to speech while they are also listening to the humans' feeling and internal thoughts. Because they are capable of listening to human's internal dialogs, they are extremely hard to deceive. In other words. never lie to a dragon!

Dragons have magic. The strength and features of that magic varies between species and can change as a dragon matures. They are very intelligent and are eager learners.
