Lost in Time

Always feeling out of place,
a longing to belong.
It doesn't matter where I go,
Somehow, it all feels wrong.

Discontent, I dream of days of yore,
a romanticized view of history,
a seemingly simpler society.
This is where I long to be.

I wish I had lived long ago,
certain centuries call to me.
It's like I'm a traveler lost
in future history.
