Eight liners

Where shall we go this year?
My husband asked of me.
Should it be far or very near?
The forest or the sea?

Do we really need a long vacation?
I don’t feel the urge to roam.
We’ve been to nearly every nation,
Now I’d rather stay at home.

Prompt: WRITE A POEM ABOUT YOU TRYING TO DECIDE WHERE YOU WILL GO TO VACATION.

Whatever is that catawalling?
‘It’s that crazy Tomcat from next door,
And it’s our Lucy that he’s calling,
And we all know just what for!’

‘I think he’s stuck up in the tree.’
‘I’d leave him there if it was left to me!’
‘Oh, someone’s called the fire brigade.’
‘All this fuss to get a feline laid.’

Prompt: WRITE A POEM THAT EXPLAINS HOW YOU RESCUED YOUR CAT ON THE ROOF.
